adjunct | coaching | mentoring

Throughout my 23-year digital marketing, communications, and design career, I’ve been an adjunct, a community-based instructor for working adults, a mentor for youth, guest speaker on digital marketing/social media topics, and more.

Teaching side note: I’m currently a grad student working to complete my concurrent masters program(s). My ultimate goal is to teach digital marketing, communications, technology, and/or art/design-related topics at an accredited university.



  • Georgetown University Center for Continuing & Professional Education (Washington, DC)
    Digital marketing guest speaker for Digital Marketing class. Led 2-hour lecture on development of social media strategies and integrated, multichannel approaches.
  • University of Maryland (College Park, Maryland)
    Presented to 100+ UMD students as panelist and TECHNICA mentor, inspiring young women interested in technology careers.
  • Women In Tech Summit (Washington, DC)
    As a WITSDC presenter, I provided the 40+ attendees (targeting technology-centric roles and career paths) with insightful tips and guidance for how to optimally brand themselves online for tech job-searching purposes and prospective employment positioning.


  • Pappas Group, a DMI Company (Arlington, Virginia)
    As a Senior Social Media Strategist subcontracted by this local digital agency, I crafted senior-level social media strategies for various luxury brands.

    • This role occasionally included mentoring in-house digital teams on social media strategy-related topics as well as client teams on organic and paid social media campaign approaches, social media performance and metrics, community management, and more.


2007 ~ present

  • Ruiz McPherson Communicationsย (Washington, DC metro area)
    As a digital marketing consultant and lead strategist, I work side-by-side with business owners ($1M-$5M annual revenue) to define, lead, and implement integrative and optimized digital marketing approaches for their businesses. This also includes coaching client marketing teams and other employees on digital marketing-related approaches and processes, as needed.


  • Montgomery Community College (Shady Grove, Maryland)
    Instructed classes as adjunct professor of Computer Applications.

2000 – 2002

  • Corcoran School of Art & Design (Georgetown, Wash D.C.)
    As adjunct instructor, developed 15-week web design and HTML curriculums for continuing education department. Instructed classes consisting of 20-30 students per semester.
